Solve both of these mathematical problems. Remember to show/explain how you worked the answers out by writing it as a comment on this post. Title them as Problem 1 and Problem 2.

problem 1: it = 151. I took away the 7 from the 60 and the 2 from the 30 and I + the 60 and 30 and then the 7 and 2 and then i found the answer out from all the plusing and then put those away and found the answer.

problem 1: it=250 i took away the 7 from the 60 and the 2 from the 30 and 1 + the 60 and 30 and then the 7 and 2 and then i found the answer out from all the plusing and then put those away and found the answer

Problem 1: it = 250 i took away the 7 from the 60 and the 2 from the 30 and 1+ the 60 and 30 and then the 7 and the 2 and then i found the answer out from all the plusing and then putthose away and found the answer.

I loved checking out the comments on this blogpost and seeing that you have all shared your strategies for solving the problems. For the first one I added 67 and 32 and got 99. I knew that 1 more made 100 and that 150 more would make 250. So the answer would be 151 left. Am I right? Tania

Hi Mrs Wallace and students I liked the way you have these problems for all the viewers who look at your blog I learnt some challenging questions Maybe next time you could put challenging questions for the people who are really smart By Armika Papakura Central School Rm 5

hello,Mrs Wallace i like how challenging the questions are i learnt that no matter how hard the questions are you can still solve it maybe you can idont know make some more hard question by tipene pcs kahikatea hub

Problem 1:

ReplyDelete250-67=183 183-32=151

Problem 2:

28-3=25 25-9=16

Problem 1: How I worked it out was I did is I took away the tens then the ones then after I did that I got my answer 161.

ReplyDeleteProblem 1:First I add 67 and 32 which makes 99 them I take away 99 from 250 which makes 151.

problem 1: it = 151.

ReplyDeleteI took away the 7 from the 60 and the 2 from the

30 and I + the 60 and 30 and then the 7 and 2 and then i found the answer out from all the plusing and then put those away and found the answer.

Problem 1: Frist I take away 32 from 250 that = 218 then I take 67 away from 218 that = 151

ReplyDeleteProblem 2: 28 - 3 = 25 - 9 = 16

ReplyDeleteproblem 2: it =16

ReplyDeletethere's 28 children 3 went home sick that =25 and 9 had to see the school nurse so 25 -9 =16

problem 1 = 16.

ReplyDeletei used counters to help me take away and then i counted the one left over

problem 2: first I add 9 and 3 which makes 12 then I take 12 away from 28 which makes 16.

ReplyDeleteProblem 2: First I take away 3 from 28 that = 25 then I take away 9 from 25 that = 16

ReplyDeleteSo the answer is 16

problem 1: it=250 i took away the 7 from the 60 and the 2 from the 30 and 1 + the 60 and 30 and then the 7 and 2 and then i found the answer out from all the plusing and then put those away and found the answer

ReplyDeleteProblem 1: 150 I took away 30 and the 3 from the 20

ReplyDeleteProblem 1: it = 250 i took away the 7 from the 60 and the 2 from the 30 and 1+ the 60 and 30 and then the 7 and the 2 and then i found the answer out from all the plusing and then putthose away and found the answer.
